How can I register with the ACCA?

You can register online with the ACCA. You will need to register with the ACCA before your exams each sitting. Please see the ACCA website for dates and details.

What exemptions will I get?

You need to contact the ACCA directly with regards to exemptions. Stouffville College cannot contact the ACCA on your behalf. Please see the ACCA website for details regarding exemptions.

Which Options Modules should I take?

Students must choose 2 of 4 Options papers Options papers should be chosen based on interest and career plans, although students wishing to obtain a practising certificate in the UK must take P7 Options Module. For further details contact the ACCA

Does it matter in which order students sit the papers in a qualification?

You must sit the modules in the following order: Knowledge, Skills, Essentials and Options. You may take up to four exams in any sitting as long as the modules are attempted in order.

How many years does it take to finish the qualification?

For ACCA approximately 3 to 4 years. These figures depend on initial exemptions and number of subjects taken per exam sitting.

When was the first sitting of the new ACCA syllabus?

The first sitting took place in December 2009.

How can I book my paper-based exam?

You must book your paper-based exams through the ACCA directly. Stouffville College have no control over exam bookings or deadlines. When are the ACCA paper-based exam dates?

When do I find out my ACCA exam results?

If you took an exam in June your results will be released at the end of August. For exams in December results are usually released at the end of February.



Refund Policy:
Refunds are calculated in accordance with the Tuition Refund Policy for those students
who officially drop the program or classes during the first two weeks of the Program Start Date (PSD).

No refunds or course transfer are permissible other than with an origianl letter of refusal of visa from the Canadian High Commission. 

 

Where a student has given written notice by registered mail or in person to the College of his or her intention to withdraw prior to the first day of the classes in the given program, the college will retain 25% of the fees paid and refund the balance.

 

Where a student has given written notice by registered mail or in person to the College of his or her intention to withdraw after the beginning of the first day of the classes but before the first week of the classes has elapsed, the College wil retain 50% of the fees paid and refund the balance.

 

Where a student has given written notice by registered mail or in person to the College of his or her intention to withdraw after the first week of classes but before the second week of classes elapsed, the College will retain 75% of the fees paid and refund the balance.

 

Where a student has given written notice by registered mail or in person to the College of his or her intention to withdraw after the second week of classes has elapsed, no tuition refund shall be given.

 

All refunds pending will be paid within thirty (30) days of written notice of withdrawal.

 

The percentage of refund is determined by the date stamp issued by Stouffvillle
College’s Admission Department indicating official withdrawal from classes.

Failure to attend class, merely giving notice to the instructor, or making a stop payment on a cheque is not considered an official drop or withdrawal from the program. 


Student who paid the tuition fees by credit card will get refunded back into to the same Credit Card less banking charges along with the above percentage calculated.

 

Student granted with payment plans option towards the tution fees is required to clear the balance due based on the above refund schedule. 

The initial Registration Fee and other student service fees are non-refundable
(e.g. accommodation arrangements, courier charges).
